WOUNDS

WOUNDS Wounds are bleeding ceaselessly Within a pensive, passive soul Unusual shades of pains it holds Permeated all from human ways Affection holds affective aches Compassion holds dear one’s aches Frustrations have fervid pains Defamations have darting pains Vexations have simmering throes Protests have many struggling throes Attachments have growing grieves Detachments have losing grieves Departure has lone agonies Desolation has deep agonies Loss of love and league of love All are bleeding wounds of soul

LOVE

LOVE In the garret of my heart I heard love chirping The intoxicant fragrance Of soil soaked in summer rain Makes me a maudlin of love Like the songs of a nightingale Wave in through breeze In moonlit shades of spring O Krishna, from your ambrosial flute, Incessant notes of love Ignites my humble soul.

MY ANCESTRAL HOME

MY ANCESTRAL HOME In a village of virtues and veracity Erect stands my ancestral home Duty and dedication join hands In that goodness' courtyard Like an ever-shining lamp, my mother Spreads moonshine of love, on us With great message of simple life, My father adds her strength and shade.

REUNION

REUNION Flowing forward in river time An inevitable confluence I reached Where pertinent passions torrented Till I faint in the whirlpool My soul found tossed in waving flood To roll and twirl like a fallen leaf Like offscourings thrown after squeezing juice I went on destined journey along I met you once on a weary ride Who tried to put out fire in my heart While walking with my thoughts and pains You perched and nested on my dreams Like moonlight softly embrace earth Your loving smiles spilled over me O Krishna, in your soothing solace As a boon for many births I regained my lost soul

I WISH I WERE

I WISH I WERE.. I wish I were a peepul tree Clad in beautiful little leaves Listening to ecstatic ripples That flows out through your flute Vibrate in acme of rapture Every moment in life. I wish I were a little calf With you in the wilderness Listening to warbling cuckoos Praising beauty of blooms. I wish I were a jasmine In the garland on your bosom To forget myself in bliss Of kissing you for ever. I wish I were Radhika Leaned upon your bosom With dreamy half- closed eyes As a token of eternal love.

THE BEAUTY BLOOMED IN MY GARDEN

THE BEAUTY BLOOMED IN MY GARDEN O lovely lovely blosome I love you love you so much So nice of you to bloom in The lawn of my lone garden O lovely lovely red rose I love you so much because, Your reddish petals hold on My blood and heart together I feel my intense passions In your tempting fragrance Your graceful smile permeates My youthful vigour and love Which I hold for ever in heart To save and serve this world I live O lovely lovely blossom I have much anxiety too How should I safeguard all your joy Unhurt from all devils hidden I fear cruel hungry worms Crawl up to eat your soft petals I fear naughty boys and friends Rush in to pluck you to throw and crush I fear devotees innocent enough Who snatch you for daily offerings Nay, nay never I let them hurt Or own , or throw you heartlessly I will fix my eyes on watch To fence and guard u till you wither Though you fade off in Lord’s chariot Your charm will not fade from my heart.

MOONLIGHT BIRD

MOONLIGHT BIRD I am a moonlight bird Who tries to hide under shade Struck by harsh and cruel arrows Of venomous taunting harrows In a silent moonlit night I left the cage, in fright Without making noise of flaps Gliding through lone cold air traps I finally folded wings in tire At your moonlit patio square. Barks of spreading orchard drew Dark and spiral pictures strew. Like a tiny dot on them I too dissolved among them. I was sad and mad on cares And terrified by nightmares, Even now I knew much peace At your yard’s moonlit grace. Soon I saw a rain of rays Sent out from your sleepless eyes Kindly stretching lovling hand You took me to caress without wand Pervading warmth and rhythm of heart You made me relax sans depart. I felt your heart throbbing for me Which raised up me to mirth acme In that touch of cool moonlight I forgot all my woes and fright. My soul whispered , gratitude filled , “Life sanctified, birth fulfilled” Dawn was nearing to fade all shade I heard footsteps of devils’ parade. I must be caught and locked to cane Within a cage of boredom reign But now I feel so bold and hope I can bear them all sans dope. A cool breeze from your moonlit yard May come to cool my flaming heart.

THE ANT AND THE ELEPHANT

THE ANT AND THE ELEPHANT Once an ant was walking home On a brighter summer day Then an elephant came that way Shaking head and ears sway. Seeing an ant on his lazy path Sneezed and asked the ant in wrath O Foolish , feeble ,tiny mite? How do you dare my way to stand? Don’t you know my vigour and might I am hailed the biggest on land? I can shake and uproot trees Easier than a storm can seize I can crack and crush many hills Where many a tiny creature fills What such eminence hold you with That made you bold on my royal path?” Told the ant then tapping ham, “O’great elephant, humble I am I can’t do such mighty tasks But simply do some humble tasks I can ride on you with ease But could you ride on me with ease Ican climb on top of a tree And rest on a leaf, swings in breeze Ican build an anthill well And sit at ease on top so well I can make any big body Restless with a single bite. Could you do such simple things As I do with ease and joy The elephant lost his word and pride So silently he walked away. -B K SUDHA NEDUNGANOOR B K Sudha Nedunganoor, Trivandrum, Kerala

GANGARTHANA

GANGA”S PRAYER
Came down heavenly river Ganga once
Stayed in Lord Siva’s knotty  tress of hair
To sanctify Earth I trickled down as
SivaGanga, a pretty silver stream.
When thoughts of paradise made me proud
I forgot Lord and myself too.
Caring not your greatness all
I embosomed the roars of sea
When down I rushed in thrill to the sea
Careless leaving back your  hair ties
Disinterested you closed both eyes
To withdraw yourself to meditation
Frozen woes you kept in chest
As white and pure stones of snow
Left I Himalaya’s serene vales
To embrace luring city dyes
What flowed into my tender heart
Is dirt of  filthy culture new!
A donor of destroyer diseases I flowed
And reached the depths of blue expanse,
Now a cursed stream I am
Dissolved in rare venom’s blue.
A flower of hidden throes I am
Reeling down in whirl pool waves
Remind I now boundless love
You kept  in heart for me gone days
Memories of thy hair knots now
Make me vex in deep distress
Fragrance of thy enticing smile
Brought by cool breeze from thy vales
Gives me relief rich and cool
That fills my soul, O my Lord!
I feel it fondling of spring  rain
Showered on me ambrosial drops
Rejuvenating medicine for
Healing  bleeding memories in.
If I come back, prideless to you
Could you accept me in tress again?
Could youd cover me with blanket of love

And drip honey on my dejections?

LET THE CLOUD MELT

LET THE CLOUD MELT
A flaming fire inside the heart
Burned a heap of withered blooms
A host of woes that emerged out
Steamed upon the roof of mind
Darkened clouds bordered thick
To choke my throat and chill my word
O my Lord, O Krishna
,O my friend, come so soon!
Let all clouds  melt and flow
Slowly in your warming smile
And make them lovely songs of love
To flow out through my humble flute.

LET"S FORGIVE EACH OTHER

     LET’S FORGIVE EACH OTHER
Only being late to meet,We couldn’t own each other
Woes of loss  in our hearts  became
Frozen  snow now between us.
As  we meet abruptly on the way
I behold the unrest inside you hold ,
To  hide, the love that spills out heart,
Into  a shell of friendship ,in vain.
Like a moth gets sacrificed
At the flames of a night fire,
At  the slay pedestal  of brutal customs
Your love, and that of me too,
In distress ,sacrifice  life .
In front of the corpse  of that amour
Let’s sit face to face today,
Like two phoenix birds,
 Seeking rebirth in memories,
Without complaints,forgetting nothing,
Let’s forgive eachother.

THE ANT AND THE ELEPHANT

THE ANT AND THE ELEPHANT
Once an ant was walking home
On a brighter summer day
Then an elephant came that way
Shaking head and ears sway
Seeing an ant  on his lazy path
Sneezed and asked in  rising wrath:
O foolish, feeble tiny mite,
How do you dare my way to stand?
Don't you know my vigour and might?
I am hailed the biggest on land.
I can shake and uproot trees
Easier thsn astorm can seize!
I can crack and crush many hills
Where many a tiny creature fills!
What such eminence hold you with
That made you bold on my royal path?
Told the ant then tapping ham,
O great elephant, humble I am
I can't do such mighty tasks
But simply do some humble tasks.
I can ride on you with ease
But could you ride on me with ease?
I  can climb on top  of a tree
And rest on a leaf, swings in breeze
I can  build an anthill well
And sit at ease on its top so well
I can make any big body
Restless with a single bite
Could you do such simple things
As I  do with ease and joy?
The elephant lost  his word and pride
So drove his feet for adifferent ride.

RIDE ON

RIDE ON
Life is a moving wave of time
And we are ordained riders here
Joys and sorrows on end bide
As rise and fall in rushing waves
Waves may take us to royal shore
Where omnipotent almighty rests
All the riders must loyal at core
To that mighty abode of peace
All are saved according to deeds
Vice and vital done on earth.
Ride and ride as much as better to gain a final salvation
Take an oar of compassion and love
To row off the  long way to reach ashore right and
Secure a chair by the side of the Lord
Whirling winds may toss our  boat
Tremors and quakes may beat us hard
Hold a bold and bonafide soul
And ride on as much vital as can.

TERRIBLE MILLENIUM

A TERRIBLE MILLENIUM
A millennium born, terribly born
With millions of minds hide identity
With millipede’s hands, but without eyes
They seek a title in gangs of guys
A world of hoodoos and horrors born
Where hackers and hooligans reign over
Tides of lust in searing pace
Wash away self venerability
Span is short, but glory is vast
Status wears  meanings new
Wedding is archaic, swapping is past
Hunting on immature buds is thrill
Variety decides  crazy tastes
Which tolls high status, ineffable all
When number of preys shows countless  gains
They celebrate harvest of rapes with cheers
A  millennium born, terribly born
To horrify the girl child, globally alone
